Child Rape Suspect Captured At Border

contacts for this news releaseBlaine, Wash. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers here apprehended Anderson Xavier Jack, 46, of Arlington, Sunday night at the Peace Arch crossing. This apprehension was the direct result of CBP’s increased use of name queries during primary inspections at border crossings. Queries revealed an outstanding felony warrant issued in Snohomish County for 3rd degree child rape.Jack arrived at Blaine from British Columbia Sunday night shortly before midnight with his mother. Upon confirmation of the arrest warrant by CBP officers, Jack was turned over to a Whatcom County Sheriff’s Deputy to be held pending his return to Snohomish County.“The capture of convicted criminals and those with outstanding warrants is a critical element of border security,” said Jamie Rector, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Blaine acting area port director. “CBP efforts at the border result in safer communities throughout the United States.”U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of the nation’s borders at and between the official ports of entry.
