Soft Studies Using Decaysdpi0

In this appendix, we present a study of reconstruction methods (vertexing and energy constraints) and various cuts on soft from $\dstar \to \dmeson \pizero$ decays. The initial determination of good requirements concentrated on all which are heavily biased towards high momentum . The kinematics of soft are quite different and demand a different set of requirements. The findings of this study help us make intelligent choices in the kinematically similar analysis. The high statistics available in $\dstar \to \dmeson \pizero$ decays provide an understanding of soft in a way that studying decays simply cannot.
