Event: U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trade Symposium 2008

Description: This year’s Symposium will focus on CBP’s commitment to security and trade programs amidst transition within the administration. CBP is steadfast in adhering to the priorities and policies that help ensure compliance, enhance security and promote continued CBP-trade partnerships. The Symposium enables CBP to incorporate feedback from the private sector into key initiatives and ensures that CBP and the trade advance toward a common goal. This year’s Symposium will include topics such as:
  • CBP Trade Strategy
  • Importer Security Filing
  • Import Safety
  • ACE
  • Trade Partnerships
  • Regulatory Changes
  • World Customs Organization
  • CBP Agriculture Mission

Registration: The registration fee is $250.00 U.S. dollars. Registration must be made on-line at CBP.gov and will be confirmed on a space available basis. ( Registration ) Payment must be made by credit card. We anticipate on-line registration to open on September 2, 2008.

Registrations will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Due to the overwhelming interest in the Symposium, each company is requested to limit their registrations to three participants to afford equal representation from all members of the international trade community. If a company exceeds the limitation, subsequent registrations will automatically be placed on the waiting list.

Participants are requested to identify in the registration their top three preferred break-out sessions. The listing of break-out sessions being offered is provided below. Please note that these sessions will be scheduled at the Symposium according to demand. Some sessions may not be offered if there is insufficient interest. Participants are requested to participate in the break-out sessions for which they register.
