Wedding Poetry Featured June 1

"Readings for Weddings" will be featured during a program at the Library of Congress at noon on Wednesday, June 1. The event, sponsored by the Office of Scholarly Programs, will be held in the Pickford Theater, third floor, James Madison Memorial Building, 101 Independence Ave. SE. Tickets are not required.

Poets Sydney March and Geraldine Connolly will each present selections from their own work, plus selections from other writings about, or appropriate for, weddings.

March is a Jamaican poet, musician, and folklorist; Connolly is a National Endowment for the Arts grant recipient and author of "Food for the Winter."
