The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure one shipset of shipboard tactical High Voltage Subsystem (HVS) hardware for the DDG 1002 Integrated Power System (IPS) consisting of high voltage switchgear, a Tandem Advanced Induction Motor (AIM) and its associated motor drive and support hardware, dynamic braking resistors, harmonic filters, neutral grounding resistors and associated integration and installation support, from Converteam, Inc., 610 Epsilon Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238. To ensure configuration compatibility with the DDG 1000 lead ships, the hardware to be procured must be the same as that selected for the DDG 1000 and DDG 1001 ship design/construction. Delivery is required to support installation in FY2011 to support the DDG 1002 construction schedule. Firms interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Converteam, Inc. directly.
