requests prior to submission of these requests to OMB. Each proposed
information collection, grouped by office, contains the following: (1)

Abstract: ED proposes to survey local Title I directors and
representatives of private-school organizations in their districts. The
purpose of the survey is to determine how changes in Chapter 1/Title I
legislation has affected (1) the number of private-school students
receiving Title I services; (2) consultation between public-school and
private-school administrators; and (3) the educational services
provided to private-school students. ED will use this information to
prepare mandated reports to Congress and to provide effective technical
assistance and information to state and local education agencies
providing Title I services to private-school students.
