All campgrounds are first come first served, with no reservations.
Hobo Camp
The Hobo Camp Day Use Area next to Susanville and the Bizz Johnson Trail is open from 8:00 AM to Sunset for picnicking, fishing and water play. There is no fee. Hosts are on site in summer.

North Eagle Lake Campground
North Eagle Campground is 30 miles north of Susanville on Highway 139 and a half-mile west on Lassen County Road A-1. It is open mid May - mid November. There are 20 sites in a pine and juniper forest. Vault toilets and drinking water are available. Some campsites can accommodate RV's up to 35 feet long. A host is available. Fees are $8 per night.

Rocky Point
Rocky Point at Eagle Lake's north end is best suited for self-contained camping. A vault toilet is available. Campers must pack out all items that they bring with them. There is no camping fee. Donations are encouraged.

Ramhorn Campground
Ramhorn Campground is in a small desert canyon east of Highway 395 45 miles north of Susanville. It has 10 sites with picnic tables and fire rings, one accessible vault toilet and a small horse corral. There is no camping fee, donations are encouraged.

Dodge Campground
Dodge Campground is 17 miles northeast of Ravendale, California beside Dodge Reservoir in the high desert setting of sagebrush hills with scattered junipers. There are 11 campsites with picnic tables, and fire rings and one accessible vault toilet. There is no drinking water. There is no camping fee. Donations are encouraged. From Susanville travel 54 miles north on Highway 395 to Ravendale, turn right on Lassen County Road 502 for 12 miles, turn right on County Road 506 for 11 miles, turn left and drive one mile to the campground.

Fort Sage OHV Area
The Fort Sage OHV area is northeast of Doyle, California in the Fort Sage Mountains. Approximately 90 miles of dirt roads and trails are open for motorcycle, quad and four wheel drive use. Please help keep the area open for OHV use by riding and driving on the designated roads and trails. Cross country riding is not allowed. The main trailhead has a parking area, vault toilet, picnic table and fire rings. No water is available. Camping is allowed at the trailhead.

Dispersed Camping
Most public lands are open for camping. Two week limits apply to any one site and you must move at least two miles when relocating. A 28-day per year limit applies. When camping, "Leave No Trace" so the area is as clean or cleaner than when you found it. Camp at least 200 feet from water sources to allow wildlife access to the water.
