Abstract

Tel-Med, Inc. is an organization that creates pre-recorded messages on health information topics, which are then disseminated through automated and operator-assisted Tel-Med programs throughout the United States. Medical experts prepare the tapes, and a local medical review board of practicing physicians reviews transcripts of the messages for use in each community. Hospitals and other organizations sponsor the Tel-Med programs, to which callers have access anonymously and free of charge. Tel-Med also publishes materials describing its services..
