John Zorn is recognized as a leader in avant-garde music. Avant-garde - meaning pioneering so far as in diversity in genre he is not matched: from neo-classical music for Kronos Quartet and other top musicians, to post-punk, nu-metal, noise and electronics, experimental projects in improvisation. In all these areas, Zorn is musician number one. Music lovers consider that his concert was the musical sensation of the year. He brought with him the prime of New York avant-garde music, including king avant-garde guitarist Marc Ribot, prominent Brazilian percussionist Cyro Baptista, a drummer Joey Baron and others.
