Description: Perennial herb, growing from a dark-brown-fribrous, and thin coated corm. Leaves basal, generally 3-5, linear with a smooth edge. Inflorescence is umbel-like, with a long peduncle. Flowers have 6 petals, rose to pink-purple color, with a bell-shaped tube. Fruit is an egg-shaped capsule with black seeds.

Distribution:

Habitat: Grassland, often on serpentine. Elevation 1072 - 4640 feet.

Flowering Period: Blooms May - June.
