U.S. and Netherlands Deputy Heads of Mission Visit Southern Serbia
The Deputy Heads of Missions of the American Embassy in Belgrade, Mr. Roderick
W. Moore, and of the Royal Netherlands Embassy, Mr. Hans E. Hageman, will visit
Bujanovac, Presevo and neighboring communities on Friday, May 13, to highlight
their support for the expanded Coordination Body and the importance of economic
development in Southern Serbia.
During their visit, the Deputies will meet with representatives of the Coordination
Body and representatives of the Municipalities of Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja.
The visit will also include a meeting with residents and members of two cooperatives
of the villages of Zbevac and Nesalce, which were established through the support
of CRDA/CHF International and UNDP with support from the Netherlands and the
United States. The Deputies will have the opportunity to get more details about
economic development projects which are being implemented in Southern Serbia.
Mssrs. Moore and Hageman will also visit the high-school in Presevo, where
students will have the opportunity to ask questions about the assistance of
the international community to Southern Serbia. The renovation of the school
has been jointly funded by the European Union, the U.S. government, and the
Government of Serbia, through the EAR, USAID, and the Coordination Body, respectively,
and implemented by UNDP and CHF International. The high school in Presevo is
one of 828 USAID/CRDA projects in 144 communities supported by the American
people and implemented in Eastern and Southern Serbia by CHF International.
It is also part of the Municipal Improvement and Revival (MIR) Program implemented
for the EAR in 11 municipalities of Southern Serbia by UNDP.

Otpravnici poslova SAD i Holandije u poseti južnoj Srbiji

Preševo i okolne zajednice u petak 13. maja u cilju podrške proširenom sastavu
Koordinacionog tela i naglašavanja značaja ekonomskog razvoja južne Srbiji.
Tokom posete otpravnici poslova sastaće se sa predstavnicima Koordinacionog
tela i predstavnicima opština Bujanovac, Preševo i Medveđa. Poseta
uključuje i sastanak sa meštanima i članovima dve zadruge iz sela Žbevac
i Nesalce, koje su formirane uz pomoć CRDA-CHF International i Programa
Ujedinjenih nacija za razvoj (UNDP) uz podršku Holandije i Sjedinjenih
Država. Otpravnici će se upoznati sa tekućim ekonomskim razvojnim projektima
u južnoj Srbiji.
Gospoda Mur i Hageman takođe će posetiti srednju školu u Preševu gde
će učenici imati priliku da se upoznaju sa programima pomoći koje međunarodna
zajednica pruža južnoj Srbiji. Renoviranje škole su zajednički finansirale
Evropska Unija, Vlada SAD i Vlada Srbije preko Evropske agencije za
rekonstrukciju (EAR), Američke agencije za međunarodni razvoj (USAID)
i Koordinacionog tela, a projekat su realizovali UNDP i CHF International.
Srednja škola u Preševu je jedan od 828 USAID/CRDA projekata u 144
