Old ICD web page
- authored by Elizabeth Gallas.
Excellent notes and documentation from the early stages of research and design for the Run II ICD.
(Last updated January, 1999).
ICD Archives
- Old and/or obsolete material. Indexed but not documented.
Calorimeter Group Page
- The ICD uses the same or similar systems. Information on the monitoring and control of the
preamp and pulser power supplies can be found here. Also, Calorimeter Examines, cal_elec, Histo, troubleshooting, etc.
ICD High Voltage Control
- GUI instructions for control and readout of the ICD HV pods in MCH116.
ICD LED Control
- Interface to control the ICD Scintillator LED Pulser throught the Light Modified Boxes (LMBs)
- DC offset and delay values.
ICD Low Voltage Distribution Operational Readiness Report
- Detailed description, drawings and photographs of the low voltage system, from the breaker box
to the preamp power supply to the low voltage fanout box.

ICD High Voltage Cable System
- Spreadsheet with all ICD High Voltage cables from the HV pods in rack MCH116 to the input cables on
front of the ICD electronics drawers inside the cathedral of the detector.

ICD Cables in Winder
- Spreadsheet with details on all ICD cables running through the cable winders.

Adjustable Voltage Wiring Diagram
- Wiring diagram for adjustable voltage fanout box (AVFB).
16 HV channels feed 16 inputs to the AVFB,
followed by a 3-way voltage split for each channel. Six outputs to Reynolds cables (8 HV signals per)
run from the MCH to the fanout box beneath the pig trough, supplying HV to 48 photomultiplier tubes (PMTs).
Total of eight AVFBs. There are two boards per box.

MCH1 North Counting House
- First floor Movable Counting House (MCH) M116 crate space allocation. 3 HV crates with a combined
16 modules, each module contains eight pods which provides a total of 128 channesl of HV (front view)
and 8 adjustable fanout boxes (rear view). Each channel is fanned out 1 to 3 through the fanout boxes
to provide 384 channels of HV for all the ICD PMTs.

Platform West Racks
- Platform racks are located beneath detector inside collision hall. ICD shares PW09 with
the Luminosity sub-detector.

Pig Trough
- Layout of ICD crate, iron block and HV fanout boxes with respect to the cable winder and pig trough.

ICD Tile
- Mechanical drawing for a single ICD tile module. Scintillator plastic is 0.5 inches thick.
Aluminum box is tapered at one end to accommodate Forward Pre-Shower cabling on face of endcaps.

ICD Tile Box
- Mechanical drawing of the ICD tile box with all three dimensions.

ICD Tile Modules
- Mechanical drawing of the ICD tile module with twelve optically isolated segments. Each segment
when positioned on the face of the Endcap Cryostats covers 1 x 1 in D0 eta and phi space.

Quadrant of D0 Detector
- Color diagram of one quadrant of the D0 Detector. The central and endcap sections of the Calorimeter
are shown with respect to the forward angle, eta. The ICD provides some coverage in the EM gap in the
range of the 1.2-1.4 in eta.

Index to D0gstar Files
- These files were created in d0gstar in mid-summer 2000. The ICD is represented as a collection of
polygons which form a hollow truncated cone.

Alan's Photo Index
- Photos of the ICD installation. I have indexed over a hundred photos since May 2000, roughly
in chronological order.

Unwrapped ICD Tile
- Picture of ICD scintillator tile. There are 12 smaller segments, which when mounted, correspond to four
divisions in phi, and three divisions in eta. Three fibers are fit inside the grooves of each
smaller segment, which will carry the light to a photomultiplier tube.

D0 Detector North Side From Below
- High resolution picture of D0 detector looking on from the Northwest quadrant. Pig trough and empty ICD crate (16 slots)
are visible, as well as cable winder, and vertical cable chutes.
