MAY 14-16. "Innovation in the Northwest" is the focus of the 2008 Pacific Northwest Regional Economics Conference to be held May 14-16, 2008, at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, Wash. Speakers will discuss such topics as the national economic outlook and innovative entrepreneurial processes in three Northwest cities. More than 60 economists will discuss topics such as assessing innovation processes among networked firms, what young people want from the new economy, electric power planning issues, and taxation. See the program agenda.
