RAPID SCANNING SERVICE: METEOSAT-8
None foreseen.

0 DEGREE SERVICE: METEOSAT-9
A Meteosat-9 SEVIRI decontamination is planned to start during week 49. 
Starting 01/12/08 at 12:00 UTC
Meteosat-8 will be the prime mission spacecraft.

EUMETCast
***Less THAN 3 WEEKS UNTIL HOTBIRD-6 IS SWITCHED OFF***
EUMETCast-Europe is now fully operational on both EUROBIRD 9 and HOTBIRD 6.
All Users must make the transition of their reception equipment to 
EUMETCast-Europe on EUROBIRD 9 as soon as possible - ideally well in 
advance of the EUMETCast-Europe switch-off on HOTBIRD 6 on 17 December 2008.

GROUND SEGMENT
Due to essential maintenance on 02/12/08 there will be two short 
interruptions to the DCP service from 13:00 to 13:02 UTC and 13:58 to 
14:00 UTC.

Due to essential maintenance on 02/12/08 and 03/12/08 between 09:00 and 
11:00 UTC, there is a high risk of interruption to
the following services:
GTS/RMDCN
Foreign Satellite Data
Eumetsat web-based services

FOREIGN SATELLITE DATA
Due to a GOES12_75W manoeuvre on 02/12/08 at 17:49 UTC, there will be no 
images at 18:00 UTC.
Images may be incomplete for up to 6 hours after the manoeuvre.

IODC INFORMATION
Due to a Meteosat-7 manoeuvre on 02/12/08 at 01:28 UTC, users may 
observe degraded image quality for up to 6 hours after the manoeuvre.

Due to essential maintenance, service messages via email will not be 
available between 16:00 UTC on 28/11/08 and 11:00 UTC on 01/12/08.

FUTURE EVENTS
On 09/12/08, EUMETSAT will commence the dissemination of new Daily Logs 
on EUMETCast.

To improve Rapid Scanning coverage by the MSG satellites over the Canary 
Island region,
EUMETSAT will implement a modification to the east-west RSS HRV coverage 
on 18/12/08.
The rectification of the data remains unchanged at 9.5 degrees East.
