The Public Enterprise “Roads of Serbia” intends using the proceeds of loan
from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the
following project:
• Belgrade Highway and Bypass Project, including rehabilitation and road
equipment fitting on motorway (E70/75) section 25.9 km long from airport
“Nikola Tesla” to “Bubanj Potok”, rehabilitation of ring road (R251) section
24.2 km long with rehabilitation of tunnel “Strazevica”, stabilisation of
landslides, as well as construction of new motorway (E70/75) section 9.7 km
long from “Batajnica” to “Dobanovci”.
The proposed project, which has the total estimated costs of approximately €80
million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following works and
services:
Works on the construction of the above road sections and structures;
Prequalification of tenderers for the civil works contract is expected to
commence in January 2007. Tendering for the above contract is expected to
commence in the first quarter of 2007.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the EBRD will be
subject to the EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms
from any country. The proceeds of the EBRD loan will not be used for the
purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if
such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United nations
Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations
or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
