| The table below lists the names of the self-extracting archive files and their archived and expanded sizes. Click on the names of the archive files to initiate an ftp transfer to your pc. These files are BinHex4 (.hqx) files and must be decoded before their contents can be extracted. Your World Wide Web client, e.g. Mosaic, may perform this step for you automatically, otherwise you should download StuffIt Expander to un-BinHex the archive files. |
| All of these archives files must be kept on your harddisk until their contents have been extracted, after which they may be deleted. Keep this in mind when making your diskspace calculations. |
| To run PaleoVu, you must download and install paleovu_install-sea.hqx and paleovu_summary_files-sea.hqx. Installing data and image sets is not required, and any subset of data files can be installed. |
| Note: With some WWW client software (e.g. older versions of Mosaic) you may need to select Load To Disk from the Options menu before you click to download an archive. |
