Summary (English)	Decree of 3 October 1955, repeals Decree 1097 of 30 September 1941, which had prohibited possession of all categories of firearms and ordered their delivery to the government. Also creates life pensions equivalent to 50 percent of the Presidential salary, to be paid to ex-presidents of Ecuador, elected by popular election. This decree was approved over the veto of the Executive.
