Michael T. Hull, who has served as president and CEO of MT Horizons International, Inc., a company involved in small business management, financial services and PR consulting, is the Office of Advocacy Regional Advocate for the federal government’s Region IX, covering Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Guam. He is the direct link between small business owners, state and local government agencies, state legislators, small business associations, and the Office of Advocacy of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Mr. Hull’s career has spanned the globe as he has worked in the United States and abroad in Japan and England. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of MT Horizons International, Inc.; in addition, he has worked for Lehman Brothers Japan, Inc., UBS Ltd. in London, UBS Securities Ltd., and the Nippon Credit Bank in Japan.

His career has also included several directorships, including Arizona Angels Investment Group; Southwest National Health Services, LLC; Cactus Rehab, LLC, and Learning on Demand Interactive.

Mr. Hull is a graduate of the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) and received his B.S. from the University of Arizona.

As a Regional Advocate, he helps identify new issues and concerns of small business owners. He also monitors the impact of federal and state policies on small business at the local level and works closely with local government officials, state officials and legislators, and the Chief Counsel for Advocacy to develop programs and policies that help, rather than hinder, small business growth
