Ambassador Bradtke to Visit Zadar Region

Zagreb, October 11, 2006 -- U.S. Ambassador to Croatia Robert A. Bradtke will visit the Zadar region on October 11 and 12, 2006. During his first trip to the interior of the region, Ambassador Bradtke will visit de-mined sour cherry orchards belonging to the Maraska company and meet with Josko Zavoreo, Chairman of the Board, and CROMAC representatives. The cherry orchards were de-mined through a U.S. government donation of almost $800,000. During his trip, Ambassador Bradtke will also visit Zemunik Donji, Skabrnja and Biljane Donje, and meet with Zupan Ivo Grbic, Mayor of Zemunik Donji Josip Marusic, Mayor of Škabrnja Nediljko Bubnjar, and OSCE regional representatives, as well as others from the public and private sectors.

During his stay in the region, Ambassador Bradtke will also visit the monument site at Skabrnja and lay a commemorative wreath.
