Alerts/Issues

• unique constraint (HDWDB_PRD.CU_PK) violated ORA-06512: at "HDWDB_PRD.CARDUPDATES18",

line 17 ORA-04088

• Replication hung on cdfofprd for CALIB due to one of index on CALIB ran out of extents.

Increased the extents to 125 on cdfonprd and cdfofprd. Notified the application co-ordinator

for correct estimates. Restarted the replication and then replication resumed.

Alerts didn’t come through because the dbsnmp password was reset with upgrade to 8.1.7.4

Changed dbsnmp password to match the 1 in the config file.

Forced alerts...all is fine. Changed a few alerts to run

more often.

• Dropped the table COTHOTCH from cdfofprd and cdfrep01 as per

application co-ordinator's request.

• COTProbCh will be added to replication on Thursday to cdfofprd and cdfrep01

• As per Bill Badgett the memory usage on b0dau35 seems quite high, only 27M out

of 1792M free . This is normal usage as per toolman report. Details in elog.

• Geometrytable of CALIB has data types as CHAR for rootfilename and comments columns.

There are 0 rows. Must be changed to Varchar2. Recommended for upgrade to 9i if replication

Objects has this datatype.

Status list of projects

 
· We will upgrade ondev & onint to 9 Sept, (and patch)
§ Plan to do production during the January shutdown. 
· Applications should be prepared to test in 9. 

• Working on basic replication to fcdfnx1 by Sept 1.

- Failover between cdfrep01 and cdfofprd is scheduled for 09/26/02

- Toolman and dbatools testing in progress on fcdflnx1

- Sniping in place on cdfrep01. Used workaround.

• Status of fcdfdata012 for data streams testing - *needs further planning but testing and learning the tool will continue. Need Oracle 9..2.0.2 expecting it in October.
• Oracle Streams with all 9iv2 including all schemas
• Infrastructure there need to import
• Muti-platform - replicating using Oracle Streams across nodes
• Oracle Streams with Mix of 8.1.7.4 and 9iV2

Couldn’t use dbrep tool where source as cdf online databases because of Firewall.

• In the process of learning, trying to understand the ability to replicate sub set of application
• Did replication of at a table level.
• Replication of views, synonyms, public synonyms, indexes, stored procedures.
• Had problem in replicating 3^rd Schema (FILECATALOG).
• Successfully did for CDFTRIG, HDWDB. TAR with Oracle
• Problem with Streams Wizard on OEM 9i

• Started work on Sniping, need to incorporate in email requirements, test and then will implement.
