Small Business Opportunities

It is the policy of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory that socioeconomic business concerns will be provided the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in the performance of subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory consistent with the U.S. Department of Energy's Small Business policies. The Laboratory will procure a fair proportion of its goods and services from small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, women-owned small businesses, veterans and service-disabled veterans who own and operate small businesses and HUBZone businesses.

For information whether you fall into one or more of the above categories, you can receive clarification from the Small Business Administration.

If you are interested in doing business with the Laboratory, please visit our New Supplier site and complete our Supplier Information Form for consideration.

For Subcontracting Opportunities, visit the DOE e-Center and select the Other Business Opps. link.

Staff Augmentation RFP
We have been contacted by several entities about a listing of "Interested Parties" for the upcoming Staff Augmentation RFP. The attached list is provided for the purposes of allowing interested parties to contact other interested parties for teaming and partnering only. The list is a mixture of Large Businesses and Small Businesses. It is our intention that when, an RFP is released that the competition be a Small Business set-aside. We have only listed company names, city, state, and web sites.

Update:
The Staff Augmentation Request for Proposals (RFP) has been reviewed by the regional NNSA Contracting Officer who will seek further review, refinement and Washington D.C. NNSA approval. The Department of Energy's (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) solicitation approval from NNSA is pending approval and could extend beyond February 2009.

Does your Small Business or Consultant need Insurance?

As of October 1, 2007 Small Businesses and Consultants could no longer use the SPARTA Program for work at LLNL.

Hammerman & Gainer will be available for Commercial General Liability Coverage without the restrictions that were imposed by the SPARTA Program, (i.e. Hazards Activity, Asbestos Work, Demolition, Drilling, Elevator Repair, Hot Tar Roofing and etc.). The insurance coverage can be for gap coverage or total coverage. In addition, Hammerman & Gainer may be less expensive than other companies because they are willing to offer coverage for specific time periods as apposed to coverage for an entire year. The contact for Hammerman & Gainer is set forth below:
