The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is requesting quotations from vendors to provide BEP Part Number 2S000794, 1,500.00 ea, Frame hanging acrylic 16-subject to display 12-3/8 inch uncut currency sheet (to be inserted by customer) acrylic thickness 1/10 inch. Frame to have polished smooth edges, drill 2 holes in top edge of acrylic 12-3/4 inch x 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch walnut wood rail on top with 2 holes drilled to accommodate brass chain "S" hook assembly. Package one frame per polybag and insert acrylic frame and wood/chain assembly into special bookfold. Enclose instruction sheet for assembly. Skids/containers must be marked with BEP Part Number 2S000794 and quantity per skid/container The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; therefore, a written request for quotation will not be issued. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is RFQ-09-0105. Delivery terms are F.O.B Destination to The Bureau of Engraving & Printing, 3201 Pennsy Drive, Landover MD 20785. The resulting purchase order shall be awarded based on price. All interested small businesses are requested to submit a written quotation which will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a SF 1449 or on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any applicable credit or trade in, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS number, and size status (i.e., small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business). If this item is available under GSA Schedule please provide the schedule number. The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions from potential bidders and change response date.

1. Is the wood genuine walnut, or a walnut stained wood? The wood is walnut.
2. Are we supplying the brass chain, and S hooks? If so, what is the length of the chain? The contractor supplies the brass chain with S hooks attached to the ends of the brass chain. The length of the chain is 14".
3. What is the "special bookfold" and is that supplied to the contractor, or is the contractor supplying it? The contractor packages the acrylic frame in a clear polybag in inner cardboard and places the acrylic frame and wood/chain assembly into a special book fold.
4. Who is writing the instruction sheet, the contractor or the govt.? The instruction sheet is written by the contractor and reviewed by BEP.
5. Who is providing the printed instruction sheet, the contractor or the govt? The contractor provides the printed instruction sheet sample to be reviewed by BEP.
6. Is there individual packaging of the units, such as a carton suitable for shipping, or is that what the "bookfold" is for? The acrylic frames are individually packaged to include the acrylic frame in a clear poly bag, wood/chain assembly, and instruction sheet.
7. What is the special bookfold? The contractor packages the acrylic frame in a clear poly bag in inner cardboard and places the acrylic frame and wood/chain assembly into a special book fold.


8. Are we to enclose assembly instructions per frame or one set of assembly instructions? Assembly instructions are to be reviewed by BEP and placed in the box per acrylic frame.


9. What is the depth of the grove on the wood rail? 2/10" slot length to accommodate top of acrylic frame


10. What is the diameter of the hole on wood rail? Two 3/8" holes drilled to accommodate hook assembly


11. Is the walnut wood to be light or dark? Dark walnut wood


12. How is the S-chain attached? Brass S Hooks are attached to the ends of the brass chain.
