The NRCC-Leavenworth, Mission Division, Fort Leavenworth, KS, is seeking sources among GSA schedule contractors. An RFP / PWS will be issued pursuant to this notice. The services / products requested are for a Global Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Place-Based Field Research project to support the Foreign Military Studies Office (FMSO). The contractor shall provide support for FMSOs Research Plan by designing, implementing and reporting the results of a methodology to locate and collect area specific GIS data, including specified area field research to obtain, interpret and present GIS data related to environmental, demographic, cultural, legal and infrastructure information. FUNDS ARE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROJECT. FUNDING IS CON TINGENT UPON AVAILABILITY. Tasks include designing, obtaining approval, and implementing a methodology for obtaining, interpreting and presenting GIS data incorporating publicly-available GIS data of all kinds including environmental, demographic, cultural, legal and infrastructure data; conducting a scholarly expedition to obtain, collate and analyze data; and, provide a field research product. The base task relates to the country of Lebanon. Optional performance tasks are for Antilles, Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Uzbekistan, Morocco, Ne pal, Philippines, Eritrea, Nigeria and Colombia. Contractors responding to this notice will be provided the RFP / PWS. All Contractor proposals submitted in response to the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be required to address all areas of their expertise listed in the requirement. The contractor perso nnel team shall have academic expertise relevant to the project as indicated in the PWS. This is a new requirement. The specific requirements of the project will be provided to qualified respondents, in a Performance Work Statement (PWS) issued with the Request for Proposal. The Federal Supply Classification (FSC) code for the project is B50 6, NAICS code is 541370, and SIC code is 8713. The contractor shall provide management and daily oversight of their personnel in support of FMSOs requirement. All responses to this sources sought notice will be reviewed and must include brief documentation of the contractors ability to provide the required support to FMSO and GSA FSS schedule information. All sources sought responses must include company name, address, POC, phone number, fax number, email address, business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number and CAGE code. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration at http://www.ccr.dlis.dla.mil/ccr/scripts/index.html. All responses must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. CST, on 21 SEP 05. All appropriately supported responses will be provided the RFP and PWS for preparation and submission of a proposal.
