In 2006, persons arrested in metropolitan counties comprised the following percentages of all arrestees when the data are broken into age categories:

  • 40.2 percent were under the age of 25.
  • 25.0 percent were under the age of 21.
  • 12.2 percent were under the age of 18.
  • 3.3 percent were under the age of 15.
