Subject: He's going home!

Tuesday night 3/24/98

Dear Friends and Family,

Brian is doing so well that he's going home tomorrow.  This postponement of
chemo will be wonderful for the entire family.  They may be home for a whole
week or more.  We are not clear as to what the new evaluation and chemo
schedule will be.  It will be early April.

Brian has been on TPN (IV food) since Jan.  He will be expected to drink
carnation liquid drinks while home.  He weighs enough now that he can afford
to lose some if it takes him a while to get use to this food.  He had some at
noon today and has kept it down!  No NG tube!!! No IV pole!!!  Freedom at
last!  All his medications will be taken orally and his pain medication is the
fentynil patch!  

This has all the earmarks of being a FABULOUS time at home!  Nothing but GREAT
NEWS!

Praise and thanksgiving to our loving Father.  He is truly blessing us with
His love and care.
