on-line automated grass identification keysAutomated Grass Identification Keys Available
The National Plant Data Center has automated grass identification keys available for for the southern and eastern (Arizona to Florida and north to Minnesota and Maine) United States.  When used on-line, the species are linked directly to PLANTS Profiles for additional information such as images.  These keys can also be downloaded to your laptop to take into the field.  Throughout the year, additional grass keys will be produced to cover the entire Nation.  Also available is the key to U.S. wetland monocots noted in National Bulletin 190-7-4.  Your contact is Gerald Guala, NRCS plant systematist, at 225-775-6280.

NRCS This Week features a weekly historical photo and caption.  NHQ, districts, States, RC&D councils, and all other NRCS entities are invited to submit a historical photo of activities or individuals who have worked or are working for the agency along with a caption.
