NOTES

(1) High Impedance bridge inputs are available at the expense of one normal output.

(2) 100 nSec output duration is possible with a restriction that the input and output widths can not be equal.

Constant Fraction - Permits optimum timing measurements to be made with photomultiplier tubes or fast solid-state detectors. Each input signal is split so that a portion of the signal is delayed and subtracted from a fraction of the undelayed signal. The resulting bipolar constant fraction signal has a baseline crossover that is virtually independent of the input signal amplitude. The zero crossing point is detected and used to provide precisely timed logic pulses for a wide dynamic range of input signals.

Updating - The unit may be retriggered during the time an output from a previous input signal is being produced.

Non-Updating - The output must return to a zero, or "off", state before retriggering can occur.

Differential - Produces an output pulse from only those inputs which fall within a amplitude window.

Zero Crossing - Produces an output pulse after the input surpasses the input trigger level, typically -200mV, and then crosses thru 0V to a positive level.

Fast Trigger - Produces a fast trigger output, typically 3 or 5nSec in width, for each input signal that exceeds the threshold level.
