Congressman John Larson of Connecticut, Vice Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, delivered the Democratic Radio Address this morning. In his address, Congressman Larson discusses energy legislation the New Direction Congress will bring forward to combat rising energy and gas prices and to ensure our energy independence. Larson explains, “for eight years, two oilmen in the White House have crafted this country’s energy policy…Barack Obama summed up our sentiment on this Bush-McCain policy, in one word: enough!”

LARSON TO HOST TWO PUBLIC FORUMS THIS WEEK

 

Congressman Larson will host two public forums this week, the first concerning U.S. foreign policy and the second concerning the state of the economy.

At the forum on U.S. foreign policy, Larson will recap his Congressional delegation trip to Italy and Afghanistan, his visit with NATO and American Armed Forces, and his meeting with Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai.

During the forum on the state of the economy, Larson will discuss how the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will provide short term relief and long term solutions for Connecticut's economy. Larson will also explain the unprecedented accountability and transparency measures enacted in this legislation.
