Of all adults (persons age 18 and over) arrested nationwide in 2007, 70.2 percent were white, 27.7 percent were black, and the remaining percentage was of other races.
Of all juveniles (individuals under the age of 18) arrested, 67.0 percent were white, 30.8 percent were black, and the remainder were of other races.
In 2007, white adults accounted for 61.1 percent of all adults arrested for violent crimes and 68.7 percent of all adults arrested for property crimes.
Of all juveniles arrested for violent crimes in 2007, 50.7 percent were black and 47.5 percent were white.
Among all adults arrested for murder in 2007, 49.7 percent were black and 48.4 percent were white.
More than three quarters (76.4 percent) of juveniles arrested for arson were white.
Of all juveniles arrested for driving under the influence in 2007, 93.1 percent were white.
