Abstract	This paper proposes a Human-Oriented Information Restructuring (HIR) system that provides drivers with integrated and restructured images presented as a virtual bird's-eye view from multi-camera images. The system integrates and restructures various camera images from the driving environment as well as non-image information such as that from the Vehicle Information and Communication Systems (VICS). The algorithm and hardware needed for creating a bird's-eye view in real- time are described. Results from experiments show that the bird's-eye view can be useful as a driver-assisting image.
