Nuclear Ground-State Masses and Deformations: Compressed Files

Each of these files for the manuscript ``Nuclear Ground-State Masses and Deformations,'' by P. Möller, J. R. Nix, W. D. Myers, and W. J. Swiatecki, has been compressed by use of the command gzip name to produce the compressed version name.gz. If these files are not decompressed automatically by your system, then use the command gunzip name.gz to transform the compressed file name.gz into the normal file name. The description for each file below refers to the normal version after decompression.

Additional Comments

All the files with extension .ps should be printed on a PostScript printer. The print command to use depends on the specific computer system, but is normally the command used for printing a postscript graphics file. This should also be used for the files text.ps and table.ps!

The files text.ps and table.ps should be printed only on a 300-dpi PostScript printer. Alternatively, they may be conveniently viewed on-screen by use of ghostview or similar PostScript previewer.

The figure files can be printed on a PostScript printer with arbitrary resolution. Clearly, the quality will be higher on a printer with higher resolution.

The figure PostScript files can be split into separate files corresponding to individual figures. The split should occur between %%trailer and %!PS-Adobe-1.0.
