Nagoya, September 4 - To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Mishima and Pasadena, a commemoration ceremony took place in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture. A delegation from Pasadena, California, headed by Mayor Bill Bogaard, received a warm welcome from Mayor Koike and the people of Mishima. Nagoya American Center Director Jonas Stewart gave congratulatory remarks on behalf of Ambassador Schieffer, and the American Embassy in Japan, wishing for everlasting friendship between the two cities.
