It is clear that the strangle hold that the pharmac. companies have had on our sick, poverty stricken and elderly must come to an end. There can be nothing but positive results from allowing certain disease and illness fighting drugs to be sold OTC. It makes no sense to regulate some of these drugs as prescription only, with the accompanying hassles of obtaining them i.e. $35 to $65 doctor office visits to get prescriptions authorized for refills. Not to mention the way that many HMO's are continually expanding their NON-PREFERRED prescription drugs. I fully support the FDA's decision to allow these drugs to be sold OTC.
