Saturn
and Two Small Moons
Saturn
blushes with false color, added to this Voyager 2 image to delineate
the banded clouds in the atmosphere and reveal features in the
rings. Two satellites appear - Rhea, south of Saturn, and Dione,
southeast of Saturn. JPL's twin Voyager spacecraft flew by Jupiter
(1979) and Saturn (1980-81); Voyager 2 went on to visit Uranus
(1986) and Neptune (1989). |
