SOFTWARE CONTROL LEVEL

CFL3D Version 6 is currently categorized as low control software according to the NASA Langley Research Center process described in the internal Langley Management System document LMS-CP-5528.

DOCUMENTATION

The CFL3D Version 6 web page (of which this is a part) is to serve as the documentation repository for Version 6, and is supplemental to the Version 5 User's Manual.

TEST CASES

Each test case shall provide at least the following:

• Brief description of the case
• Graphics to illustrate the case
• One or more grid files (tarred, compressed)
• All necessary input files to run the case (tarred, compressed)
• Expected results including run time, memory required, convergence history
• The date and platform on which the results were obtained

In addition, comparisons with experimental data shall be made whenever possible.

VERSION CONTROL

Each public release of the complete CFL3D Version 6 package, or updates to the package, will have the release date appended to it. The banner written to the main CFL3D output file ("cfl3d.out") will also contain the release date.

As of May 23, 2001 CFL3D Version 6 is under the CVS version control system, with the repository located in /ump/fldmd/home/biedron/CVS_REPOSITORIES/cfl3dv6.
