The Central Federal Lands Division of the Federal Highway Administration in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service are administering a project to rehabilitate 2.59 miles of Lake Mary Road. The project will start at the Horseshoe Lake parking area and finish at the north end of Twin Lakes. Construction activities will include road widening, improved drainage, pulverize existing asphalt, and repaving. The alignment of the road will be virtually the same as the existing footprint. The project is scheduled to begin on 03/12/07 and the scheduled completion date is 08/31/08.
A construction contract was awarded to Carlson Construction Co. on November 8, 2006 for the contract amount of $4,551,024.00.
