Of my tax dollars that I consider to be well spent, I consider funding the National Parks and the Transportation Enhancement funds to provide the greatest services to the American public.  ISTEA and TEA21 has enabled Civil War battlefields to be purchased, resulted in interpretive markers along historical routes, such as the Civil War trails, permitted the restoration of rail stations and construction of other structures as local visitor centers.
