Stereo Photography

Caution: If crossing your eyes makes you feel queasy, nauseated, etc., don't try this.

Stereo photography can be done from the ground or the air. Here is a stereo pair from the Lake of the Clouds in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Cross your eyes and relax until you get a third image in between the other two. It should be in stereo. Once you've got it, again, relax, and look up and down through the picture. Can you see the foreground, especially, in stereo?

Seeing in stereo is tricky - be patient. And again, don't try this if you're subject to becoming queasy!
