Prof. Charlie Schwartz' "efforts on our behalf"

The recent letter, "Lawsuit sponsored by CUE et al," says that University of Califonia, Berkeley Professor Charlie Schwartz "deserves thanks for (his) efforts on our behalf" in monitoring the UC Retirement Fund.

When I was in grad school at Berkeley ('87-'91), Schwartz also was notorious for refusing to teach physics classes because his students might end up at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory or Los Alamos National Laboratory, thereby indirectly causing him to have supported the nuclear weapons complex. It is my opinion that Charlie Schwartz is hardly a friend of Los Alamos.
