Being a 16 year old person of concern, I am worried that when these "downed animals" are slaughtered their meat will be contaminated with the bacteria of the notorious mad cow disease. This disease is now becoming a world wide epidemic and a major area of concern for Americans. I would like to support the petition filed by Farm Sanctuary that would prohibit the slaughter of downed animals, and hopefully these will make the conditions of the farms better so that we will not have to deal with the problem any further. Sincerely, Dana P., N.Y.
