Description:
Task Plan - FY04 Analog-to-Digital Converters - BOK

Abstract:
This task will focus on analog-to-digital converter (A/D) parts survey. The survey would involve the following: (1) Discussions with users at various NASA centers to determine their immediate and future needs as far as the resolution (number of bits), speed, operational voltage, power dissipation, etc. Information on type of mission (instrument vs spacecraft), mission length, radiation and temperature requirements will be gathered as well. (2) Discussion with manufacturers of A/D parts including COTS PEMs A/Ds. This would entail getting status of current products and their future plans. (3) Matching of NASA needs with parts availability. Any gaps between the two will be identified. Also, where possible, recommendations will be made on how to make the parts useable (close the gap), such as by conducting further tests, etc. (4) Publish report and TRO.
