A Painted Daisy

  
     Inspired by April showers
     The birds begin to sing: 
     Darkeyes were Chaucer's
     Favorite floures - 
     They sprang up in the spryng.
     This "parfit gentil knight"
     Sought daises rede and white

     Where did he 
     Find a red one?
     Mayhap he
     Took his brush and 
     Payn-ted one.
