Dinner

A dinner event is planned for Wednesday, August 11, 7:00PM at Greek Islands Restaurant located at 300 East 22nd Street, Lombard, IL.  Price per person is $30.  Transportation will be provided and will pick up at the Guest House at 6:30PM.  The menu will include:

Appetizers - saganaki (flaming cheese), saramosalata (fish roe spread), gyros

Salad - Greek salad

Main Course - arni bouti psito (sliced leg of lamb), dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), keftedes (meatballs), mousaka (baked eggplant & meat casserole) served with rice pilaf and oven-browned potato)

Glass of wine

Dessert & Coffee - galaktobouriko (light egg-lemon custard pastry in filo dough), coffee or hot tea

If you are a vegetarian, entrees are available for you:

Mousaka - baked eggplant, ground meat, and potato casserole with bechamel sauce WILL BE PREPARED WITHOUT MEAT AND/OR CHEESE

Vegetarian plate - an assortment of vegetables baked in olive oil (briami)

Spanakotiropita - layers of spinach and feta cheese baked in flaky filo dough

Spaghetti - Grecian-style pasta and cheese flavored with garlic and butter

Rice and yogurt - thick and rich homemade yogurt served over rice
