Kevin's Chocolate Pecan Tart
Africa, North: American

This is a favorite recipe that everyone enjoys! It is easy to make and fun to watch bake. It is a fool proof recipe. My sister's like this recipe for parties and finger foods.
  Ingredients

1/4 pkg. milk chocolate chips
1/4 pkg.white chocolate chips
1/4 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups powdered sugar
2 sticks of unsalted butter
2 medium eggs
2 cups whole pecans
1 can condensed milk
1 pkg. Heath Brickle Toffee Chips

Preparation

Allow all ingredients to warm to room temperature. Mix flour, sugar, and butter in a large bowl. Blend until well mixed. It will resemble butter cookie dough. Press into a 9" cake pan. Place covered in the freezer and allow to freeze. Place in 325 degree oven and bake until edges are stiff and not brown yet. Dough will rise slightly. Remove pan from the oven. Place back in freezer and allow to freeze. Mix eggs, milk, 1 cup of pecans and Toffee Chips in a bowl. Pour into frozen tart shell. Place the other pecans on top of the mixture in a pattern to make it pretty. It does not matter if they happen to become soaked with the batter while decorating the tart. Place the pan back into the oven, which should be cold by now, and bake at 250 degrees, turning the oven on when the pie is in the oven, not before. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Appearance of the tart should be brown and shiny when ready.
Decorate with chocolate(s) by placing the chips in a zip lock freezer bag slightly opened in the microwave, and melt on medium temp. until melted. Place a tiny snip on one of the corners of the zip lock bag. Be creative and draw a beautiful design on the tart. You may use one chocolate or all three. You may use any type of chips you prefer.
