The Corps can assist states, tribes,
local governments, and other non-federal entities in the preparation of
comprehensive plans for the development, utilization, and conservation
of water and related land resources. The studies under this program are
cost-shared on a 50% federal - 50% nonfederal basis. The studies must be
requested by a viable sponsor; the Corps will accommodate as many studies
as possible within the funding allotment. Typical studies include wetland
evaluations, flood plain management studies, water supply, and flood damage
reduction studies. |
