Sector 1 Compression Device
- Maximum applied load = 2000 lb-force.
- Loading is displacement-controlled and screw-driven.
- Loading is applied remotely.
- Strain is measured independently using either strain gages or a clip-on extensometer.
- Device can be mounted on x-y-z stages, with sample in the center of a Huber eulerian cradle.
- Maximum sample rotation without blind spots ~120 degrees.
- Device was designed by Deming Shu of the APS.
