Content Description

Abstract: This dataset provides access to the surface ownership administered by the ND State Land Department.
Purpose: This data is maintained by the State Land Department for public viewing of surface acreage.
Supplemental Information: Initially this data was programmatically generated in the late 1990's based on PLSS section corner points obtained from the ND Dept Of Transportation and systematic subdv descriptions that existed in the Land Department database. In 2006 the Land Dept manually corrected these generated polygons to account for irregular tract shapes, such as along rivers or roads. These manual edits were based on the 2003 NAIP aerial imagery for ND.
