The EU RoHS directive prohibits the use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBDE or PBB in a broad range of electrical goods. U.S. companies must comply with the directive as of July 2006 in order to sell in Europe.

The webinar will include experts from the U.S. Mission to the EU and the Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) of the University of Massachusetts Lowell. It will also include a case study of M/A-COM, a Massachusetts-based company that has complied with the RoHS directive. Topics to be covered are:
