Purpose of Test:

Spatial Editor Popup - homogenous areas and fuzz

Test Setup:

The IFP server is running. The GFE is running.

Test Procedure:

1) MB1 click a scalar (e.g., T) or vector (e.g., Wind) grid in the grid manager to make it visible in the spatial editor.

2) MB3 popup over the spatial editor and select "Set Fuzz Value..", the Fuzz value dialog appears, set the value to 0.0.  Dismiss the dialog.

3) MB3 popup over a section of the grid on the spatial editor and select "Select Homogenous Area".  Result: an area will be selected based on the fuzz value.  Since the fuzz value is zero, usually only a small area is selected (if this is a typical grid produced by smart initialization).

4) MB3 popup over the spatial editor over the selected area and "Deselect Contiguous Area".  Result: The edit area is deselected for all areas that are contiguous for your MB3 point.

5) MB3 popup over the spatial editor and select "Set Fuzz Value..",   the Fuzz value dialog appears, and then set the value to the maximum allowed by the dialog.  Dismiss the dialog.

6) MB3 popup over a section of the grid on the spatial editor and select "Select Homogenous Area".  Result: an area will be selected based on the fuzz value.  Since the fuzz value is a larger number, a larger area will be selected.

7) MB1 click a "Wx"  grid in the grid manager to make it visible in the spatial editor.

8) MB3 popup over the spatial editor and verify that the  "Set Fuzz Value.." is not present.  Result: The Fuzz value option is not available for WEATHER grids.

9) MB3 popup over a section of the grid on the spatial editor and select "Select Homogenous Area".  Result: an area will be selected that is contiguous.

10)  MB1 click a "Hazards"  grid in the grid manager to make it visible in the spatial editor.

11) MB3 popup over the spatial editor and verify that the  "Set Fuzz Value.." is not present.  Result: The Fuzz value option is not available for DISCRETE grids.

12) MB3 popup over a section of the grid on the spatial editor and select "Select Homogenous Area".  Result: an area will be selected that is contiguous.
