I agree with that quote. It seems to me that economic position is one of the
overriding factors influencing racial attitudes. It is socially acceptable
in some upper strata to be racist, and almost expected. Of the three listed
in the quote I believe economic position cuts across both race and gender.
It is not unheard of for rich, black business men to be racist against those
of his own race who live in the ghetto. Economic position becomes more
important than either race or gender.
